Urban wetlands
New cities can bring new motivation and inspiration. Montreal is full of water irrigated and unirrigated, but the city is closing in around the small habitats quickly. I have started a portfolio of ponds in Montreal, focusing on interaction between the urban environment and standing waters. The idea at the moment is to shoot it with 120 film, will see if that ambition continues throughout. Grinding through the dull and brown spring it will be exciting to see how the colours will unfold together with the warmth of May (May will be sunny correct?)
